Therapy Approach
Integrative Therapy
Choosing a therapist and trying to understand the different approaches can be so confusing. The 'Integrative' therapeutic approach I use combines a range of theories. I have been trained in person-centred counselling, cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), transactional analysis (TA), attachment theory, trauma, and other key therapeutic concepts. We will start by exploring your current difficulties and challenges and find an approach that works for you. I can provide more details on my training, if this would be of interest. We will have regular check-in's and reviews to work out if you are getting what you need.
Psychoeducational Approach
We will learn together which techniques enable you to break patterns of behaviour that no longer serve you. We will explore how to recognise unhelpful thinking patterns and create new ways of relating to yourself and others. I am passionate about education and sharing knowledge.
Neurodiversity-Informed
My background is in supporting families to understand neurodiversity, special educational needs and disabilities. This has shaped how I work with all of my clients. Our sessions will be adapted to meet your individual needs and preferences. We start with a discussion by email, phone or message and I encourage you to let me know what you would like from therapy.
